The Hunter is one of the slowest paced games that I have ever played. Although, I can't stop playing! The animals and landscape are so realistic, it's like walking through the real world. You can obtain hunting licenses for about 5 different animals. Elk, Mule Deer, Coyote, Turkey (Though you can only hunt deer for free. Sea "P.S.", and they plan on making more. The environment is so incredible, that most of the time I'm just walking around looking at the trees. You can use about eight different guns ranging from the shotgun, to the compound bow. A lot of time in this is used to track the deer, but every once in a while, you see one, and get to take that heart pounding shot. There are three different stats to upgrade as you play. Tracking: As you hear calls, or find tracks of deer and other animals, this stat goes up, thus helping you later in the game to track. Spotting: After tracking an animal, you must spot it. If the animal doesn't see you, and you are right in front of it, the animal will be highlighted with red, to help you out. This skill will make the red outline easier to obtain. There are also stats for every different gun.
The Highlight: Graphics. Flat-out, these are the best graphics I have ever seen for PC. They may look a bit better than Bethesda's "Oblivion". Even with three graphics... The main part of the game is free! In fact, I use pictures that I take with my digital camera in the game, as desktop backgrounds.
P.S. You could consider this an MMO. It does have stats, there is a shop, and they expect some money. You can play for free, though. I am sorry for seeming like a hypocrite, but these graphics are just to much to pass on...
